bouche trou

plugging the holes
yet the black water continues
rushing through each
and every
tiny fissure
this body hasn’t
neither the appendages
nor the reach
to cover the damage
these holes will reap
truth is
there is no know reason
for this all to be
plug these holes
stick your foot in it

moon songs iii

I fly through the sea
Every opportunity before me
My world is immense
Never will I ask what if
Rather it must be
I will
Always turn your gaze forward
Regret nothing of what’s been
Ask what were you learning
And apply those lessons well
Or not
You could
Simply continue to subsist
Or choose as you know you will
TOo
Forward in your momentum
The peace in your life
The blue of the water
And the sky
Meld with the green
Each trading life with each
Such is our harmony
The horizon red
The blood of our existence
Together

moon songs ii

the rush across the ears
water and whale song
the solitude of water
honu fades invisible to silence

the moon casts shadow across the waves
clouds obscure the light and add texture
the dark blues fade invisible
into each
into the silence

silence in solitude
across the sea is he
alone in his solitude
aware in his silence

honu fades into his tranquility

farceur

i am mental man
i live the life
of?
the person well hidden
well sort of
some know of me
what i am
and they see what?
i could be
someone i am not
but someone you might want me to be
but then
am I me?
ah that would be the rub
a man of bubbling sensitivity
or who i am
whatever that might be

moon songs

drifting, tiny flicks of his feet
honu moves in the light
a full moon shows a path
among the hazards of coral
and sharks and rocks
the music feeds into his soul
the pulse of his ocean
the solitude of the island
he marvels
how is it
when this moon song goes quiet
that he can feel so alone
will he feel the song again

the turtle lifts his head to the horizon
a vast indigo sky joins the fluorescing water before him
honu wonders what lies out there
before him
for him
for them

and he dives forward

What do you do,
when you find that most desired,
                     proves most elusive?
What do you do?
