Are you nuts
The anticipated answer
But then
...Yes
Yes she is

Track 13
The steady throbbed hum
Electricity and coolants permeate the space
And being.
Competing with heart
To secure space in this life
Disembodied informers
Enunciators of naught
Time, place, departure
Denote a rush to passage
Punctuated by curtain call
As the base of humanity is silenced
Ensconced in glass and metal and plastic
To be borne to place
The cry of agony
Steel turned onto iron
All depart to silence
Calm to drips and drops
The street above leaks the weather
Spaces in the impermeable
Leave vestige puddles
Splashes high symmetrical
Trumpets mouths opened
Aching upward to new voices
Punctuated by rhythmic bumps
Loose joints jangled by solid wheels
The weight of trams
Silent above
Drummed below
The dull rumble of the outbound
The pitched squeal of the inbound
Engorged with commerce
From then to then at
Employed
Buoyed by possibility
The challenge to excel
The rare to exceed to recognition
A distant dream rumble
Approached to Flinders
Line track 13
Dead end here
The hiss and throbbed hum
Shadowed passages of strangers
Connected wireless to ether
Good to morning
A start to an end
Electricity and coolants permeate the space
And being.

Baby Splat
It was an inferno
I stood staring through the goods in the large glass window
Willing the cool from within
To my within
The wraith appeared from over my shoulder
Deeply tanned
Dressed in black
Black hair, black shadow
Black haired arms
Black haired legs
And across his middle
A white crown blonde
Tiny white hands
Tiny bare legs
Wrapped secure in a swaddle
Featureless black blending to the black of his clothes
My God, thinks I
This man had been walking about when
Splat!
This bug of a baby squished itself to him
I turn from the window
"Did that hurt mate?", says I
Pointing to his chest
"At first", he says
"But then she becomes a part of you".
He stands beside me
We stare together into the cool beyond the glass
He straightens his clothes
Barefoot in the heat
"That black dress does look good on you mate".
A smile
And he and she sashay away.

Storm Warning
Followed by a tornado she comes
Prepared for battle
T-shirt knotted for practical comfort
A determined look
Pensive jaw locked in concentration
Overcoming pressure
To pull this dirt
And animal
From her existence
I love you all
But my what a mess
But then this what she is doing
Pulling mess from her life
A tornado in place
To cyclone it all away
This pensive locked jaw
Gives way
Satisfaction takes sway
Never defeated
We simply stay low
For the storm will release
And sunshine and warmth
And love will always return
This is her way
And we love her for it.

Voice Out Of Dark
It matters
Being heard
Being hurt
Being loved
Getting heard
Getting hurt
Getting loved
The human experience
That shapes these lumps of clay
We can choose of course
To ignore the sculptor
But how boring that would be
Or we can forgive
Or not
All at some peril
All at real
That love happens
Spontaneously
And with heady winds
Lifts leaves as spirits
High and higher
And can gently place
Or catastrophically crash
All to reality
It matters of course
Being heard
Understood?
A mystery.

Making Angels
A fool rushed in
And the Angel followed
Protector with fear
A dive within the snow
To explode in frigidity
And warmth
To his feeble
Lay still dear man
In time all will be clear
This is all so new
As old as time itself
What you experience
Is humanity itself
Denied by me and many
Craved by me and all
It is alpha and omega
It is all pain
All joy
All consuming
And consumed
Be still and patient dear man
Lay here beside me in this snow
Angels before God’s experience
For you and for I
And never will we forget

Indelible
So good
So gentle
She made a mark on my soul
She sat in my dark
And brought forth the light
The mark of the promise
The voice of the reasoned
She gave of herself
Selfless flawless raw
Guided me forth
How could it be
To take a being so dark
And find within that so worn
A canvas prepared
Create your masterpiece
“I can’t”
For he loves
And I cannot be loved
For who would take me
Damaged and torn
Who would take me
Ugly hideous repulsive
Blighted by the uncaring
The unhealthy the tattered
Who would take me
Unworthy
“I would”
And I wanted
Mere opposites attract
So I thought
But we are alike
Two negatives
Being positives
Repelled in inertia
Impossible to remove
These laws
These physics
This directive
Do not love
Me
