You must die early!

You can reassess your life

You can exercise smartly
You can take relaxing vacations
You can smell the flowers

You can love winters white way
You can work for charities
You can listen to birds
You can live simply

You can live long and joyfully!

Walk

Me blind, guide mute, we explore La Verendrye seeking the natural and manmade treasures contained there.  Gravel pathways, sounds of children, squeaky swings, gleeful slides, pea gravel, fresh mown grass, hugged trees (twice), a bench, leaves of every type, smelled flowers.  And we stop.  Guide talks and says what I am thinking.  This spot is special; an essence exists here. My eyes open to the sky near the statue, in the grass, under the trees, where we lay.

I feel you.

Ink

Nortons Day of Discovery (part iv)

A single drop into cool cold water
A second drop for the raw alter
This ink does pollute this soul
A spiral cloud turns clarity to coal

It spread its tentacles to touch all
Those places linked to that emotional
The heart I know it will shut down
Should not I fight inks battleground

I shall do this open to core my essence
The battle I will take to inks black presence
Add this water cool cold refreshing
Dilute this enemy to my loves blessing

Success it measures wave on wave
These poignant feelings expressive laid
This wash foundation defeats the dark
Cleanse cool cold water wash me stark

sWept

Norton’s Day of Discovery (part ii)

It came with such intensity.  A demon had been defeated, a lifetime of darkness and despair suddenly was laid bare.  The puzzle of the label could be solved.

It came with such intensity.  This mind was suddenly clear.  The pain caused by years of cloudy ink suddenly dissipated by clear cool waters.  Craved connection to humanity unexpectedly and easily granted.

It came with such intensity.  A warmth starting as if fused and shot from this belly exploded in this heart sweeping through this body.  Filling every recess of soul with warmth and with light and with connections.

It came with such intensity.  A release felt so little in this lifetime.  The body uncontrolled, wracked by cleansing waves of weeping.  A wonderful dirge of release.  A simple song so difficult for the label to perform.

It came with such intensity.  Again when shared and again when shared and again when written.  This elusive physical gift, paroled from deep in this soul, bringing consciousness, connection, elation, ecstasy...

It came with such intensity.  A prayer answered.  A blessing received.
