Bottled

That boat.
It has been out there in the bay
For near on a week now
Whatever for?
Why can’t it move?
Stuck to glass
Uncounted freight
Treasures await
Well so might souls be imagined.

And that woman
Everyday she is out there
Walking her day
Climbing her engorged frame
Up that hideous hill
In her hideous pajamas
Bulbous thigh over bulbous thigh
A new fifth in hand
Barefoot, rose nose enflamed.

My guts are sore
Waiting
It is soon to happen
Those things will fall
To start again
Self stuck within
Longing to break out
Effervescence delayed
Foreboding is a wait of fate

It is about to spill over
Shaken to the very core
Nothing released
The space is filled
The hodgy podgy dodgy
Nonsense of a being compelled
To report on nothing
Yet there it is to be revealed
When will it come free?

That boat
It is blocking my view
I want nothing between here and you
My word horizons.  Go.

The Gutful Wonders

How you going?

All good. How's you?

I'm live and kicking
All these years driving truck have built me gut
Quack says I need to lose it
Poor heart and diabetes
And with him carrying on
Stress!
Makes you want to jump in front of the bus
But summers coming
The day is warming
The rain is holding
And here you are
Another of ample girth
Waiting at this light so's we can cross
Together
And see the beach
Love life good friend
G'day

Loves Silence

Props, lights, sound, action
First morning
A breeze tinkers and tests
The leaves a rustle
Flow through the chimes
The herald music a backtrack
To the life song
Awakening in the trees
The greeting to all
We made it through the dark
And now our joy we will spread
This light grows warm
Driving away the cold
A stillness of experience
The heat raises passion
Long bridled
Now released
Into this first of many
Welcomes

Keys

They unlock mysteries
Open doors of my life
Grant me transport
A portal of freedom
Highways of interest
The jingled in my pocket
Reminders of where I can enter
And protect
Enclosure of self
And now they melt away
A flat released
She has my keys to that future now
And will enjoy it I know
Keys to my employment
Security of livelihood
An office abandoned to another
Doors previously open
Closed forever to me
Finally my car key
Transportation of freedom
Gone to another
To find his new freedoms
No jingle now
I lift away
Lightened of the load
All wonderful memories
Life loved
Keys exchanged and changed
The keys of my heart given
To all that I love
And I land again
To build new life
A jingle in my pocket
The first given access
My home
My love

Closing Chapters

These stairs seem so small now
In childhood they were enormous
As tall as my Dad
The real one
They towered above the other
The ornery bastard
Smoked in cahoots
And gone
Thank goodness
Though his spouse leaves me cold
From so far away
She weaves her incantations
Trying to find that spell to draw me near
To her alleged allegiance of falsehood
And gone
From this country much as I
One supposes if contemplating the finish line
Of the new Chapter
As memories fade away
To internet sales schemes
Of bargain hunters and annoying scammers
And the rally around my butterflies
Beginning
Babies and young men vying for attention
Seekers of my already unconditional love
Building stock upon my ledger
It is me of course who wants to remember
To think this is not my demise
But a chapter of their lives
Where I am only gone
Just one minute
Why are you angry
I found a partner and found happiness
While not to our assumed plan
It is to the plan of They who matter
To be revel in joy of another
Even though gone
We technologically logically assimilate
Around small lit screens
And cameras
And we connect with the tools at hand
A love in the glow
Even though apart and gone
I love you all
My heart and body remains bits of each
For family is strongest
This is not a last chapter
This is a linking tome
Passed
And to future
We raise a glass
Pure joy
Well written say we to the Author
And amen

Best Before

The is so much in here unknown
Fruit and vegetables
One lasts forever
The other adjacent all mold
Milk soured as it ages
Still useful
I can bake with it
Hard tack
And bread dried and crusty
The blue green blooms
The jam turns crystal
Coloured sugar shapes
Enticements of rot
Then sudden regrowth
Of vile and ill
The honey lasts forever
So they say
And the nuts will catch up
A slow turn as the essence of oils grow acrid
Wilted leaves
Life
Misused nurture
Ignored
Then off.
It all started well
With best recipes intended
It takes effort for preservation.

Ends and Peaces

The range is amazing
Swings from highs to lows
Euphoric interludes interrupted by butterfly
Kisses from children whose love will never wane

The pride and joy of God’s life gift

Yes I shall miss this place

For founding was forged here

And begrudged stability

I love this place

And I love my people

These are ends

And there are pieces unfinished

Yet peace is found

For God stays watch over me

And has granted me new beginning

A forged partnership

My new life

And she will know me

And know my love for you all

And she will never leave me in pieces

She shares in my love with you

And knows this love must be nurtured

And I will return to you

And you will come to me

We, no ends, all peace.
