Protracted

Lingered hope and prolonged angst

Decisive and indecisive all at once

What is wanted

What is feared

What is practical and revered

If there is cake can it be eaten too

This candle will burn forever bright

This connection will not wane

There for their is resolute promised

These peppered plates are reminders

Of times we shared

Happily chattering over

The significant insignificant

That adds sad and glad richness

To the fabrics of our interwoven existence

I lay here waiting for my end

Wracked wreck of a soul

Withered autumn but for the light of memory

The joy you touched still in reach

Stay with me won’t you

And hold my hand

abyssal

unfathomable depths

a place unexplored

though oft explored upon

never understood

a place not to go

the warnings entreat

but then

when known

not to go again

plumb the depths

in a cocoon pressured

sequestered from truth

hidden away

the desire so much to offer

now returns to haven

broken

Of time to be spent in embracing the Good

Things of this time we spend Together

Realizing the power we can Have

Over the all who will hurt and Hinder

Us no more you foul and envious Souls

In this journey in concert sweet Muse

Over how far we have come to How

Far will we go from this passed Past

The signs are very there

The pillow impressions

The toothpaste in the sink

Dishes in the kitchen

Notes upon these walls

Plants alive and thriving

Your aura presence present

A blink of time in all this life

I miss your here already

Yet I know that soon

We shall dance once again
